Renovating a villa in Ibiza: how to plan the works calendar
Permits, island logistics and high season: the planning that gets your villa ready before summer.
Start with permits
Depending on the municipality, a major works licence in Ibiza can take several months. Apply in the spring of the previous year so works can start in October.
Buy early
Stone, joinery and climate equipment must be ordered weeks in advance. Shipping to the island is the most frequent cause of delays.
Leave room for styling
Leave at least three weeks between completion and the first booking for furniture, textiles, cleaning and photography.
